Card Access Starting at 9pm

Beginning March 16th a current Washington University identification card will be required of each person entering Olin Library or the adjoining Whispers Café after 9 p.m. This change makes Olin Library's card access schedule consistent with all other buildings on campus. According to Dean Baker, "We believe this change will enhance student safety without greatly restricting the larger community's access to Olin Library. Our students, faculty members, and staff already carry their University ID cards for many other functions. We hope having to present their cards at the Library after 9 p.m. will only be a minor inconvenience."

Images and More in the Catalog

The Libraries have subscribed to a service that provides full-color cover images and links to author notes, fiction and biography profiles, Publishers Weekly reviews, summaries and annotations, and tables of contents. This added info comes from servers at the vendor of the service, linked by the ISBNs on the catalog records. Not all records will have the added info, based on what's available on the vendor's servers. Check it out by doing any search in the online catalog, and see what you get!

Olin Library Closing Early This Saturday

Saturday, September 29: Olin Library and Whispers Café will close at 6:00pm due to WILD. The Arc will close at 4:30pm. Olin Library and Whispers Café will reopen at 10am Sunday, September 30.

ILLiad Logon Changes - UPDATED

The Library has changed the way you login to the ILLiad interlibrary loan system. Instead of using your current username and password, you will instead need to use your University ID number and the password you use to logon to library computers. If you have never set this password, go to https://lansing.wulib.wustl.edu/password-change.asp to change it. The temporary password (which must be changed at the first use) is the first 2 letters of your last name (first letter capitalized and second in lower case) followed by your University ID.

Example: The temporary password for John Doe with University ID 123456 would be Do123456. 

ILLiad accounts have been created for all students and faculty (if you did not have one before). If you've never used ILLiad, you'll need to update/complete your registration the first time you use it. After changing your password using the link above, log in to ILLiad, and click on the link for First Time Users.
