A new digital exhibit documenting the life and times of Mary Wickes, WU alum and actress, is now available online. This exhibit was created in conjunction with the physical exhibit that was on display in Olin Library in fall/winter of 2013. Click here to visit the exhibit.
This exhibit chronicles Mary's early life growing up in St. Louis and her time as a student in Washington University. Browse photos of Mary and her parents as well as images from Mary’s television, film, and theater career. The Mary Wickes Papers includes multiple autographs from celebrities that Mary worked with. Throughout her life, Mary visited the university many times, often working with students. The digital exhibit concludes by highlighting the generous endowment fund that Wickes set up at Washington University
