Between semesters, on Thursday, January 9, 2014, Washington University faculty and staff from across disciplines will gather on the Danforth Campus to share insights on teaching and learning at the biennial i teach symposium co-sponsored by The Teaching Center, WU Libraries, and Arts & Sciences.
Held every other year in January, the all-day event features interactive presentations by WUSTL instructors, as well as plenty of time for informal discussions among colleagues. Along with a plenary address titled "Fostering a 'Growth Mindset' on Teaching," the program will include 16 sessions on metacognition, active learning, mobile devices, digital projects, self-questioning, visualization, and more.
The event is free, but registration is required and seating is limited. The full symposium program is available at teachingcenter.wustl.edu/iteach/2014. To view photos from the 2012 symposium on WU Libraries' Flickr feed, go here.
