Olin Library’s wireless network hardware and services are being upgraded this summer, along with those of several other campus locations. Work began in Olin Library on June 5, with a goal of completing the project by June 18.
As the aging hardware is replaced with new equipment, wireless connectivity may be interrupted. During any wireless service interruptions, patrons may use public computers located throughout Olin Library. Network cables can be checked out from the Help Desk on Level 1.
This effort by Network Services and Support in coordination with library staff should increase speed, capacity, and convenience for wireless network users. As one of the major gathering places on campus, Olin Library along with Whispers Café has one of the largest numbers of concurrent users of the wireless network in a single location.
