New Database: Women and Social Movements

The Libraries have subscribed to the Scholar's Edition of  Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000, a full-text database.  More info.

New Database: PILOTS

PILOTS is Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress.  This index attempts to include citations to all literature on PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events. Updated monthly. More info.

Exhibition: Preserving University Libraries' Collections

This unique exhibit shines a light on the behind the scene activities of the Preservation Unit. The exhibit features examples of typical book repair and binding techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. This wonderful exhibit runs through March 16, 2007.

Enter the Student Book Collecting Contest

The 20th annual Carl Neureuther Student Book Collection Competition is underway. All full time Washington University students are eligible to compete for cash prizes by submitting a short essay, a bibliography, and a few items from their private book collection by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007. Awards will be given in two categories: graduate and undergraduate, with a first-place award of $1,000.00 and second-place award of $500.00 in each category.
