Catalog and Proxy Server Outage

The online catalog will be unavailable beginning about 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 2, while the software is upgraded. When the catalog is offline, so is the proxy server, so off-campus access to licensed databases and ejournals will not be possible. It is expected to be unavailable for several hours.

WU Libraries holdings can be viewed in the MOBIUS catalog during the outage.  In that catalog, you can use the new Limit/Sort Search button and choose WHERE Item is located to select Washington Univ from the pull-down menu.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause.

Don't lose your files NOW!

There are problems in saving your files from Word, Excel, and other applications on library computers. We are investigating them, but in the meantime, PLEASE be careful to save your files so that you can retrieve them later.

  • Save As to a USB drive (thumb drive, flash drive)
  • Save As to a CD
  • Email the document to yourself BEFORE closing it and the application

Ask at the nearest help desk for assistance.

Save Your Files!

When you log on to library computers with your WU ID, you have some storage space on the Library server for your files. If you have saved files to the Library server, please remove these files, by saving on a USB drive, CD, or emailing them to yourself, before January 8.  All files left on the server will be deleted then.
