Exhibition: Nobel Prize Winners ~ Past and Present

A new exhibition in the lobby cases at Olin Library highlights the 2006 Nobel Laureates in all categories and Nobelists affiliated with Washington University.  Notable features of the exhibition include details of the 2006 Nobel Laureate in Literature, Orhan Pamuk's, visit to Washington University on November 27th and the Nobel quiz.  Be sure to stop by and test your knowledge!  Exhibition runs from November 21st to December 18th, 2006.

Exhibition: Undergraduate Research Symposium

Currently on display in the Olin Library lobby are four poster presentations from the Washington University Undergraduate Research Symposium held November 14-15, 2006. The posters, in great detail, present student research projects covering a wide range of topics such as, poverty, AIDS, telescopes, and inflammation of skin. The exhibit will run from November 21- December 5, 2006.

New Database: Play Index

Use Play Index find citations to some 31,000 plays published individually or in collections, from 1949 to the present. Please note that we've subscribed to only one concurrent user; please logoff when finished, and try again later if it's in use when you try it. More info.

Two New Legal Databases

Thanks to the WUSTL Law Library, all of Washington University now has access to two new databases: Congressional Research Digital Collection, a full-text database containing Congressional Research Service reports (1916-present) and Committee Prints (from 1830-present), that is part of LexisNexis Congressional; and The Making of Modern Law, which is a full-text collection of Anglo-American legal treatises from 1800 - 1926. Network Outage November 27

On Monday, November 27, there will be no network connectivity from 4:30am - 6:30am. During this time, none of these resources will be available: the library website, the library catalog, the University website, ERes, ILLiad, streaming lectures, Luna, and Find it!/Get it!.

New Alumni & Friends Website

The Libraries have created a new website specifically for WUSTL alumni and other friends of the University. On the Library homepage, you'll find it at the bottom of the flyout menu from About the Libraries.  There's also a button on the lower left of the homepage to Support the Libraries. Please take a look!

Annual Review Backfile Purchased

The Annual Review backfile, 1932-1995, has been purchased. We now have v.1+ full-text online access to all the Annual Review titles in the Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences. We previously had full-text access to most of these titles from 1996+. We have print volumes for most of these titles, but the added online access will be very convenient to researchers.

New Database: International Medieval Bibliography

International Medieval Bibliography is an interdisciplinary bibliography of the European Middle Ages, covering Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in the period 400-1500.   Please note that we've only subscribed to three concurrent users; please do click Exit (twice!) when finished.  Also, links to Get it! are not yet available from within this database.  More info.
