Science Direct Backfiles

More good news for the Libraries' psychology collections!  We recently purchased Elsevier Backfiles on ScienceDirect.  You will now find articles not previously accessible electronically or ones that were difficult or even impossible to locate in print. Our access will include all articles, right back to the very first issue of each publication (where possible). 

An example:
Previously, we had electronic access to Acta Psychologica from 1995 to the present.  However, very soon that electronic access will go back to 1936!  It will take a short while until all of these titles are loaded into our catalog, however, if you're curious you can check out the list of journal titles.

More Access to Web of Science

We have purchased 10 more years of Web of Science backfiles with end-of-year funds.  We now have 1970 to present of Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index.

Two WU Catalogs now available

The new WU Catalog has been launched this week. We've beta-tested it the past few months and made some changes. With the new WU Catalog you can:

• search for digital images, digital collections, library webpages and other items not in the Classic Catalog
• easily limit by year, language, format, publication year, subject, and more
• easily export records into RefWorks and Endnote.
• "Did you mean" prompting

We'll think you'll like the new Catalog. But the old catalog is still with us--renamed as Classic Catalog. You can always access it within the new WU Catalog. Use the Classic Catalog, when:

• you know exact title or author you're looking for
• searching by ISBN or call number
• want to browse subject or author entries

Do take a look at the new WU Catalog. You'll find many more relevant items.
