Go to the A-Z list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm and scroll down to Marketline (Datamonitor)  Login at top right and then do a search top left of next page with Ice cream.  Then on left side of screen refine by geography-Europe-then Russia.  Then look for reports about Russia and Ice Cream.  Look also at the revelent news articles at bottom of page. 

Also do a search for Russia.  This will provide you with a Datamonitor report on Russia.

Go to A-Z list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm and scroll down to Business Monitor.  Do an advance search on right hand side of page.  Click advanced search.  Search with Ice Cream and filter by geography Russia. This will pull up a number of reports.

Go t A-Z list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm scroll down to Euromonitor (GMID) agree to terms and do an search on Ice Cream.  In the second group of results pick Russia Ice Cream.

Click on this link which takes you to the business interface for Business Source Complete BSI.   Click on Market Research Reports. Do an advanced search with Ice Cream and Russia.  This will pull up a number of reports and articles.

Germany Snapple

Go to the A-Z list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm and click on Business Monitor at the top of the page click on Europe and then Germany. Then on the left hand side click on Food and Drink.  You will get a report on food and drink in Germany.

energy drinks France

To find information on energy drinks and France, go to the A-Z database list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm and click on Marketline

1.  At the top right hand corner of the page do a search on energy drinks.

2. When the results come up filter by geography.  France.  pick your report.

4. Agree to the terms  and go to search.  Pick France, nonalcoholic drinks, then energy drinks.

5. Click on this link Business Interface for Business Source Complete BSI.  Click on Market Research Reports. Do an advanced search.  Enter energy drinks and then France.  This will pull up a number of articles and reports.

Euromonitor - Global Market Information Database (GMID)

This is one of the more important databases that I neglected to mention in class.

You can find it on our A-Z list:

This resource has both country and industry specific information. 

For country related information, click the 'Countries & Consumer' tab at the top of the page and then 'Consumer Trends & Lifestyles'.    Use the pull-down menu in the upper right corner to select your country of interest.

For industry specific information, type the product/industry you are looking for in the search box in the upper right corner  and then use the filter feature to limit by country.   

You can also navigate around this database by using the tabs at the top of their home page. (e.g.'Industries', Countries & Consumers', etc.)  

NOTE: This database has both statistics and reports.    The statistics are displayed first followed by the more comprensive reports.

Finding country information

A good resource for finding country information is

1.  Go to the library A-Z list  http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm

2. Scroll down the list until you find Marketline(Datamonitor) click on the log into Library and education users at the top right hand corner of the page.

3.  Once in you can either click on your country listed in the middle of the page or if you do not see your country do a search at the top of the page.  From there you will get a pdf report of the country from Datamonitor.  These are usually quite extensive.

4.  Another source to look at would be Business Monitor.  Again go the the A-Z list http://apps.olin.wustl.edu/library/articles/db.cfm and Scroll to Business Monitor.  At tthe top of the page select the continent and then the country from the drop down list.  On the right hand side of the page are various topics you can chose.

5. In search box type   Instant coffee  and click Go

6. Scroll down to the section titled Reports. Click the drop down menu for Filter by geography and choose USA. Click Go.
