- Using Intel as an example (ticker symbol INTC), type:
INTC <EQUITY> RV <Enter/GO>
Words between < > are Bloomberg keys on the top two rows of keyboard
After results are displayed, hit the <HELP> key located in the top left row of the keyboard. Instructions will be given on customizing the results, including adding and deleting companies.

1- Can I access the library's resources remotely?
Most databases are available remotely when you use the Business School's proxy server. Instructions for installing the proxy server are here:

EXCEPTIONS
SDC and Datastream are only available in the Business Lab and the Computer Lab.
Bloomberg is only available on one station located in the Business Library.
2- Where can I find a list of companies (public and private) in a particular industry?
ReferenceUSA is the most comprehensive.
Others are:
Dun & Bradstreet (does not include companies as small as RefUSA)
Sorkins (has small companies but limited geographically to selected Midwest cities in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin.

3- Are broker/analyst reports available?
Yes but some well known firms like Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch do not maker their reports available through third party vendors.
Thomson Research is the vendor with the largest supply of broker/analyst reports. Their database can be found here:
4. What about industry related resources?
The library gets broad based and specialized industry reports.

Covers the most industries of all our resources.

Fewer industries covered than First Research but for those that are, the surveys are comprehensive.

5. Where can I find M&A, IPO and venture capital data?
- SDC Platinum is the best resource for finding data in these areas
- SDC is NOT available remotely
- It is accessible on all the machines in the Business Library and in the Computer Lab at the Business School. You do have to logon to the machine using your Business School username/password.
