Looking for times series data? Follow these steps:
#1 – If accessing remotely (i.e. outside Simon Hall) install business school proxy server on your machine. If you don’t do this, you will not be able to gain access to the databases.

#2 – Select database
· Lexis/Nexis Statistical Publications and Datasets
a. Click customize data in left column http://web.lexis-nexis.com/statuniv (remember to use proxy server - step #1)
b. Clicking on item (e.g. energy resources) expands range of choices
c. This database has much more than economic timer series. Areas of coverage include:

· Crime
· Education
· Energy Resources
· Health and vital statistics
· Housing and construction
· Transportation and travel
· For popular U.S. economic time series data (e.g. GDP, consumer prices, interest rates, etc.), use:

Accessible only from the Bloomberg terminal in the business library. Wide range of downloadable data for equities, currencies, commodities, economic data, etc.
