Florida Atlantic University Libraries
FAU Libraries' Judaica Sound Archives collection includes 78 rpm phonograph recordings, LP albums, cassette tapes, 8-track tapes, 45 rpm recordings, and CDs. Taken together, this represents well over 70,000 sound tracks. The collection is continually growing as a result of material donations from institutions and individuals.
Professor Claire Solomon, Romance Languages Department, visited this fantastic archive of digitized audio materials and suggested that WU subscribe to it. Currently, Florida Atlantic University is allowing free access to these sound recordings on four campus computers. The Humanities Digital Workshop (Eads 007) will load software on two lap tops which can be checked out by faculty and the library will load the software on the Start menu on two public library computers; those closest to the Reference Help Desk (160 and 161).
