The catalog tab in the search box on the Library website has been redesigned. We've provided radio buttons to select each catalog, arranged in order of increasing scope. We've renamed the Catalog as the Discovery Catalog, and placed it second, as it is broader in scope than the Classic Catalog. We've moved WorldCat onto the catalogs tab. A "What is this searching?" link provides a summary description of each catalog's content.
If you're looking for a know item (i.e. you know the title, author, etc.), it's best to use the Classic Catalog. Also, use the Classic Catalog to browse by subject heading. The Discovery Catalog is much broader and includes many digital resources. With the Discovery Catalog, you can quickly limit your search results by language, format, etc.
