The Libraries now have access to Nineteenth Century Collections Online, a multi-year global digitization and publishing program focusing on primary source collections of the long nineteenth century. This collection includes a variety of formats, including monographs, newspapers, periodicals, diaries, personal letters, manuscripts, maps, pamphlets and more.
The archives of NCCO will be released incrementally. Four are now available:
- European literature 1790-1840 : the Corvey collection
- British politics and society
- Asia and the West : diplomacy and cultural exchange
- British theatre, music, and literature : high and popular culture
European Literature 1790-1840 : the Corvey Collection includes the full-text of more than 9,500 English, French and German titles. This collection comprises one of the most important collections of Romantic era writing in existence anywhere – including fiction, short prose, dramatic works, poetry and more – with a focus on especially difficult-to-find works by lesser-known, historically neglected writers.
