New Research Guide on Translation Studies

I've created a research guide for Translation Studies (TS). The guide will be of use to faculty and students teaching or enrolled in WU Translation Studies courses as well as any literary scholar interested in this field.

The guide includes:

• List of recent books on Translation and Translation Studies
• Tips for finding materials on TS here at WU
• Lists of TS journals and Table of Contents of recent issues
• Reference articles on TS
• Links to professional associations and scholarly websites.

New Electronic Reserves System -- ARES

As many of you know, the Libraries have migrated to a new electronic reserves system: ARES. You'll need your WUSTL Key and passord to access ARES. With ARES, you'll be able to: 

• create tags for courses
•  save courses to your individual student profile
• access materials both on and off campus
• Instructors can upload materials themselves (or have ask Reserves to do this: eres@wumail.wustl.edu)

Xipolis which provided online access to DUDEN dictionaries and Brockhaus encyclopedias has gone out of business as of July 31st. We have access to some DUDEN dictionaries via DUDEN-SUCHE. This includes Duden's Deutsches Universalwörterbuch and Duden : die deutsche Rechtschreibung.

I will be updating the research guides and course guides over the next few days. If you're unable to get what you need, please contact me. Please also contact me with questions.
