Purchase on Request experiment

The library has started a pilot program called "Purchase on Request." Biology book acqusition is not included in this trial but biofolk may run across some of these titles in the catalog, so I thought you should know about this and, when you see books that you need, feel free to REQUEST them. Links to books we do not currently own have been added to our catalog in several subject areas, including anthropology, business, chemistry, environmental science, etc. When the record for a title is found in the catalog, the location field will say: "To have the Library purchase this, please click the Request button." When a patron clicks on the request button, she/he will be taken to a request form. The patron will need to a) fill-in their WUSTL key and b) choose a pickup location. If the title is electronic, the EBL version will be available right away. If a paper version is requested, the title will be ordered as a rush and requestor will be emailed when the book is available. More information.
