- Since Olin Library Reserve serves MANY departments, it is smart to get your lists in early when possible so that they will be processed in time, especially when we need to purchase something because we do not own it. Note: Reserve processing for fall has begun but fall lists won't be viewable to students until August 21st; if you sign in as the instructor of a particular course, you can see the list however.
- We do not put paper materials on reserve (except for library books, personal copy books, and by special request other personal copy items such as multiple solutions sets, etc.). If there is an article, old exam, etc., that you want to make available to your students, Olin Library reserve will scan it or link to it and put it on Ares for you.
- If you have pdf's or other files you want on reserve (Ares), you can handle that directly with them or you can add files yourself. Note: If there will be more than one person adding files for a class, have Olin Library reserve do it because otherwise separate lists are created for each instructor and that gets confusing for everyone.
- The bookstore does not inform us about your choices, so if there are new editions you need to be sure we buy, please let me know or include that information on your reserve lists.
- In the former biology library, we often located your syllabi and put textbooks on reserve for you when we owned them. That sort of customization does not happen any longer, so you need to let Ruth or reserve@wumail.wustl.edu know what you need and what questions or concerns you have. Thank you.
